On September 11, 2025, the Second Meeting of Universities Selected for the “Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact” was held in Iidabashi, Tokyo.

Launched in November 2024, this project brings together 13 selected universities, each advancing unique initiatives toward realizing multicultural collaborative campuses while addressing the challenges faced in their respective regions and contexts. Our university serves as the lead institution, overseeing the overall coordination of the project.

At the meeting, Vice President for Education, Professor Mitsuyasu Kato, University of Tsukuba, chaired the proceedings. The universities actively exchanged views on successful practices, challenges encountered, and future prospects. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to share on-the-ground insights and issues. The points discussed will continue to be examined as areas for improvement in preparation for the next meeting and will contribute to the further advancement of the project.
