Field Study on Disasters and Disaster Prevention: A Joint Programme between National Cheng Kung University and the University of Tsukuba

Throughout its history, Japan has suffered numerous disasters, including earthquakes, large-scale fires, floods and war damage. Taiwan, too, has been struck time and again by major disasters, such as typhoons and earthquakes. In this field study, we will visit the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum and the Edo-Tokyo Museum in Tokyo, together with students from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), to reflect on disasters, disaster prevention and reconstruction.
