On August 6, 2026, the Social Impact Promotion Office introduced its initiatives. The presentation covered specific examples of Multicultural Co-Learning programs promoted by the University of Tsukuba under the MEXT “Project for Creating Social Impact,” educational initiatives aimed at solving social issues through collaboration with academia, local governments, and companies, and efforts to create international learning opportunities for students. The participants showed strong interest in the activities of the Social Impact Promotion Office and the practice of Multicultural Co-Learning, followed by an active question-and-answer session.

Afterwards, the participants visited a GASSHUKU-style Multicultural Co-Learning program with National Cheng Kung University being conducted at T-PIRC (Tsukuba-Plant Innovation Research Center) at the University of Tsukuba. They observed the actual educational activities and collaborative learning among students. They enthusiastically observed Japanese and Taiwanese students learning together and exchanged views on educational methods and possibilities for future collaboration. Although the visit was brief, it provided a meaningful opportunity for exchange for both sides.
