🌏 Multicultural Co-Learning Program in Kasumigaura × Kasetsart University

Take on Local Challenges with an International Team!

The University of Tsukuba is hosting a four-day multicultural co-learning program in collaboration with students from Kasetsart University, Thailand.

Work together in international teams to explore and address real-world social issues facing the local community, including disaster preparedness, regional revitalization, and an aging population.


🗓 Schedule: August 25 (Mon) – August 28 (Thu), 2025

  • Day 1 | Welcome Reception for Kasetsart University Students @ University of Tsukuba
  • Day 2 | Field Research in Kasumigaura City
  • Day 3 | Workshop & Presentation Preparation
  • Day 4 | Final Presentations & Farewell Party

👥 Who Can Apply?

  • Undergraduate students at the University of Tsukuba (approximately 20 participants)
  • Able to communicate in both Japanese and English
  • Interested in international exchange and local community issues

🌏 Multicultural Co-Learning Program with the University of Malaya (Malaysia)

Four Days of Learning Through Local Communities, Global Perspectives, and Social Challenges!

Join students from the University of Malaya, one of Malaysia’s leading universities, for a four-day multicultural co-learning program in Ibaraki Prefecture.

Work together through field research and group activities to explore local issues such as disaster preparedness, multicultural coexistence, and building inclusive communities with foreign residents. If you’re interested in international exchange and social challenges, we encourage you to apply!


🗓 Schedule: August 17 (Sun) – August 20 (Wed), 2025

  • Day 1 – Aug. 17 (Sun) | Welcome Reception for University of Malaya Students @ University of Tsukuba
  • Day 2 – Aug. 18 (Mon) | Field Orientation & Research @ Mito
  • Day 3 – Aug. 19 (Tue) | Field Research & Workshop @ Mito
  • Day 4 – Aug. 20 (Wed) | Final Presentations & Farewell Party @ University of Tsukuba

*All program activities are scheduled to take place during Periods 1–6 each day.


👥 Eligibility & Number of Participants

  • Approximately 20 undergraduate students from the University of Tsukuba
  • Must be able to participate in all four days of the program
  • Able to communicate in both Japanese and English (preference will be given to applicants with prior international exchange experience)
