ソーシャルインパクト推進室では、国際的な視野を広げるためのRUN-UP活動を学内で随時企画しています。今回は、本学人間学群卒業生で現在フランス、パリのユネスコで活躍中の水野谷優先生をお招きして、第3回グローバルスタートアッパーセミナーを実施します。全学群生、大学院生、教職員対象で、どなたでも自由にご参加いただけます。海外でのキャリアに興味のある方、この貴重な機会をお見逃しなく!
セッション1では、筑波大学出身の水野谷先生の学部時代の留学経験や国際キャリアへの道のり、海外に一歩踏み出すためのヒントやアドバイスをお話いただきます。セッション2では、水野谷先生の専門分野である国際教育開発協力や教育政策分析について詳しくお話しいただきます。質疑応答の時間もあり、水野谷先生に直接質問できる貴重な機会です。

<水野谷先生略歴>25年以上にわたり、ケニア、シリア、パキスタンなどで国際教育協力や政策開発に従事。現在はパリのユネスコIIEPで技術協力チームを率い、教育計画、能力開発、財政管理、データ活用、MELなどを統括。危機に強い教育システム構築にも注力。筑波大学人間学類当時からNGO活動に参加し、過去にはユニセフ、世界銀行、ILOなどで要職を歴任し、バヌアツではJICA隊員として国際キャリアを開始。国連報告書等の執筆は100本以上にのぼる。

The Social Impact Promotion Office is pleased to host the third session of the Global Startupper Seminar series as part of our ongoing RUN-UP initiative—designed to help students and faculty broaden their global perspectives.
For this special event, we welcome back Dr. Suguru MIZUNOYA, alumni of the University of Tsukuba’s Institute of Human Sciences, who currently serves at UNESCO IIEP in Paris. This seminar is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff. Anyone interested in pursuing a global career is highly encouraged to attend.

Guest Speaker: Suguru MIZUNOYA (UNESCO IIEP, Paris)
Dr. Mizunoya has over 25 years of experience in international education cooperation, working in countries such as Kenya, Syria, and Pakistan. He currently leads the Technical Cooperation Team at UNESCO IIEP, overseeing education planning, capacity development, financial management, data utilization, and MEL (monitoring, evaluation, and learning).
His career began with NGO work as a student at Tsukuba, followed by professional roles at UNICEF, the World Bank, ILO, and as a JICA volunteer in Vanuatu. He has authored more than 100 reports and publications, and is now actively engaged in building resilient education systems worldwide.
Program Highlights
Session 1:
Dr. Mizunoya will share his personal journey from studying at Tsukuba to building a career in international organizations. He will offer insights and practical advice for those considering working abroad.
Session 2:
A focused discussion on international education development and education policy analysis, followed by an open Q&A session—an excellent opportunity to interact directly with the speaker.
