筑波大学芸術専門学群およびデザイン学学位プログラムではグルノーブル（フランス）の博物館庭園、コロンボ（スリランカ）のインフォーマル居住地、台南（台湾）の歴史的市街地などで地元の大学、地元の方と協働しながら小型建築や展示装置を制作、設置し、地域のくらしを魅力的にする活動をおこなっています。この度、今年度グルノーブル・アルプ大学（フランス）、筑波大学、國立成功大學（台湾）、モラトゥワ大学（スリランカ）と共同でフランス、スリランカで実施したデザインWSの活動を紹介するとともに、水戸でこうした活動をするとしたらどのようなことができるかを考えるシンポジウムを開催します。お気軽にご参加ください。

School of Art and Design and the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Design at University of Tsukuba have been conducting collaborative projects with local communities and universities around the world—creating small-scale architectural works and exhibition installations in places such as museum gardens in Grenoble (France), informal settlements in Colombo (Sri Lanka), and historic districts in Tainan (Taiwan). These activities aim to enhance the livability and cultural appeal of local areas.
This symposium will introduce the design workshops held this year in France and Sri Lanka in collaboration with Université Grenoble Alpes (France), University of Tsukuba (Japan), National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), and University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka). Participants will also discuss possible ideas and approaches for carrying out similar activities in Mito.
