2025年5月19日（月）と30日（金）に、ステューデントコモンズにて第１回グローバルスタートアップセミナーを実施しました。
冒頭でソーシャルインパクト推進室から、外国人学生と日本人学生が言語や文化、専門の垣根を越えて社会問題の解決を目指して共に協働するための様々な活動についての説明がありました。続く事例紹介では、実際に昨年度行われた多文化共修活動（協定校カセサート大学での地域研修、CiC協定校フランスのグルノーブルアルプ大学での国際デザインワークショップ）について、プログラムでの学び、渡航期間中の現地学生との様々な交流についての紹介がありました。

The first Global Startup Seminar was held on Monday, May 19 and Friday, May 30 at the Student Commons. The event began with a presentation by the Social Impact Promotion Office, introducing a variety of initiatives aimed at encouraging collaboration between students from different countries. Throughout the program, students will be working beyond differences in language, culture, and academic disciplines to address social issues together. After the introduction, case studies of actual multicultural co-learning activities from the previous year was explained, including a regional training program held in Thailand and an international design workshop at Université Grenoble Alpes, a CiC partner institution in France. These presentations shared insights into what students learned through the programs and the various cross-cultural exchanges they experienced during their time abroad.

さらに、特別ゲストとしてお招きしたEU代科学技術フェロー・松本健氏（筑波大学修了生）からはご自身のグローバルキャリアへの道筋や、ベルギーでの現在の仕事についてお話しいただきました。質疑応答では、今後勇気をもって海外に飛び出すためのヒントを、学生とアットホームな対談の中で盛り込んでくださいました。

We were also honored to welcome Dr. Ken Matsumoto, a graduate of our university and now active as an EU Science and Technology Fellow. He spoke about the path that led him to a global career and his current work in Belgium. During the Q&A session, he offered practical tips on how to take the leap into international opportunities, engaging in a warm and open conversation with students.

5月28日（水）には、BHE会議室にて、大学院生を対象に「世界に広がる大学院修了後のキャリアパス」というテーマで第２回グローバルスタートアップセミナーを実施しました。参加者の多くは大学院生で、松本氏のご自身の研究についてのお話を中心に、グローバルキャリアへの道筋や、ベルギーでの現在の仕事についてお話しいただきました。国際的に活躍する松本氏のお話は大変有意義なもので、セッション終了後も参加した学生からの様々な質問に親身になって答えてくださり、参加者は皆笑顔で会場を後にしました。

On Wednesday, May 28, the second Global Startup Seminar was held in the BHE Conference Room under the theme “Career Paths After Graduate School That Extend Across the Globe,” targeting graduate students. Most of the participants were graduate students, and the seminar featured Dr. Ken Matsumoto, who spoke primarily about his own research, the path that led him to a global career, and his current work in Belgium. His talk, based on his experience working internationally, was highly insightful. Even after the session ended, he kindly and attentively responded to a wide range of questions from the students, leaving all participants with smiles on their faces as they exited the venue.

大学院生対象のセミナーの様子 Seminar for the Graduate Students

今回のように、学内外で行われる国際的な活動や多文化共修活動に参加することで、JV-Campus上　グローバルスタートアップセミナー #1 – 筑波大学ソーシャルインパクト推進室　で学生の皆様の活動を記録に残しオープンバッジ（デジタルバッジ）を付与する体制を整えていきます。今回ご参加いただいた学生の皆様にも、後日オープンバッジを付与する予定です。

By participating in international and multicultural co-learning activities like this one—both on and off campus—students will have their involvement recorded on the JV-Campus platform under Global Startup Seminar #1 – University of Tsukuba Office for Social Impact Promotion, and will be awarded an open badge (digital badge). We are in the process of establishing this system, and students who participated in this seminar will also receive their open badges at a later date.

本学では既に多くの多文化共修活動が行われていますが、ソーシャルインパクト推進室では今後長期的に、全学的にこの活動を根付かせていくことを目指しています。日本国内で、そして海外で、多様な背景を持つ学生と共に課題解決活動に参加できる機会を今後ますます増やしていきたいと思います。

While a variety of multicultural collaborative learning activities are already being conducted at our university, Social Impact Promotion Office aims to further embed these initiatives across the entire institution over the long term. We are committed to expanding opportunities for students to engage in problem-solving activities alongside peers from diverse backgrounds—both in Japan and abroad.
