As part of the SI Program, we are organizing a Multicultural Co-Learning Program in Jeonju, South Korea.

This hands-on program brings together Japanese and Korean students to identify local challenges and develop practical solutions through collaborative learning.

We welcome all students with an interest in intercultural exchange and community-based problem solving.

Please note: Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to participate, please complete the application form. Course registration will be processed by the administrative office after your participation has been confirmed

Course Overview

In recent years, Japan and South Korea have faced many shared social challenges, including declining birth rates, aging populations, population concentration in major metropolitan areas, and overtourism.

This program takes place in Jeonju, often referred to as the “Kyoto of Korea.” Through fieldwork, Japanese and Korean students will explore themes such as regional revitalization, promoting local attractions, and building inclusive communities with local residents. From the perspective of interregional exchange, participants will identify local issues, develop and present practical solutions, and engage in multicultural co-learning through collaborative, problem-based learning.
