Outline
The Dunong Project is an initiative jointly implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd), Philippines and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), a partner university of the University of Tsukuba, to support children facing learning poverty.

Through this project, UPLB student volunteers provide various educational support activities for elementary and junior high school students in Laguna Province, where UPLB is located.

Following discussions with DepEd and UPLB, the University of Tsukuba will collaborate with the Dunong Project to organize a Multicultural Co-Learning Program involving students from both universities. This program invites students who support the goals and significance of the Dunong Project and have a strong motivation to participate as volunteer students.

Among the three themes established in the Dunong Project, this program will focus on “Reading Enhancement and Appreciation Development (READ)” and conduct approximately one week of multicultural co-learning activities.

In addition to activities at UPLB, participants are also scheduled to visit other local universities interested in exchanging with the University of Tsukuba and engage in cultural exchange activities with local students.
(Details are currently being arranged as of December 24.)
