CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

[Call for Student Participants!] Education × Multicultural Exchange × English: Discuss Educational Issues with Southeast Asian Students (SEA-Teacher Program Participants)

2026.1.8

Outline

Beginners in English are warmly welcome! This program provides an opportunity to experience international exchange on campus in a friendly and supportive environment.

The theme of this session is “Educational Issues.” Would you like to discuss topics such as school refusal, quality of education, and teachers’ heavy workloads — issues that are currently attracting attention in Japan — in English with students from Southeast Asia who aspire to become teachers?

The Southeast Asian participants are students from the SEA-Teacher Program, a multicultural co-learning initiative that brings students from the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia to Japan for a one-month teaching practicum.

This program is open not only to students interested in becoming teachers, but also to anyone who would like to explore educational issues from diverse perspectives in English or learn more about education in Southeast Asia.
